Thrifting with Traveled Collar

Hey, so you've decided you want to ship your dog's gear to us! Let's give you some information on what happens next. First you fill out our form including descriptions of the products you are sending in, pictures of all sides and important wear/tear markings, and a grade you'd anticipate the product would earn (Newly Traveled, Gently Traveled, Traveled, and Heavily Traveled). From there we give you a quoted estimate. Once the gear is received at Traveled Collar we review each item and socialize any variability from the original quote and reach out once the review process is complete. From there you can determine how you'd like to get paid (store credit or cash)

Cleaning/Processing

All products shipped to us are brought in for temporary hold while they wait to be cleaned! Once ready, each product is hand washed and air dried to ensure minimal wear on the product prior to moving along to photography and listing. Each item will be carefully handled during the whole process. Used items will be exactly as they are shown in the photos on the site as each used item is its own listing. This ensures transparency and accuracy that the item you receive will match your expectation!

What Do We Accept?

We accept the following dog apparel including leashes, collars, harnesses, jackets, life jackets, boots, cooling vests, rain coats, sweaters, and backpacks (including pet backpacks).

Grading System

Each item on our website is inspected and assigned a category. We do our best to adhere to a standard system for all items and to be as transparent as possible. 

New

Item has original packaging and or tags and meets the highest quality standards.

Newly Traveled

These items have not seen the open road. They can be compared to new items without packaging or tags and may have only been worn a handful of times or not at all! Items in this category are the highest grading a used item can aspire!

Gently Traveled

Experienced a short family road trip or enjoyed a few trips to the beach, gently traveled gear shows small signs of use/wear but no major flaws and plenty of journey left in them!

Traveled

Have experienced many car trips, fetches in the park, and plenty of time in the dirt. Traveled gear is worn gear that has been given new life. It has visible flaws and potentially stains, some dog hair (we do our best to get out as much as we can!), and potentially light bite marks/frayed material. Traveled gear is looking to go on a few more trips around the sun!

Heavily Traveled

What has this gear not seen? Mountain tops, ocean waters, frigid winters and scorching hot temperatures, more hair than exists on your floor, and stains from every park around. This gear has significant visible flaws but still functions well. The gear is hoping to find a home where it can still show love and bring joy on more journeys.
